Smoked Bacon & Bourbon Jam Grilled Cheese with Jalapeño
Ingredients
- 2 slices Organic Sourdough Bread
- 4 slices Organic Uncured Applewood Smoked Bacon
- 2 slices Jarlsberg Original Cheese
- 3-4 thin slices Fresh Jalapeño Pepper
- 1 tbsp Bourbon Jam
- 1 tbsp Butter
Instructions
- 1Cook the bacon in a pan over medium heat until crispy. Drain excess fat and set aside.
- 2Spread butter evenly on one side of each sourdough slice.
- 3Place one slice of sourdough (butter-side down) in the pan. Layer with Jarlsberg cheese, cooked bacon, jalapeño slices, and a dollop of Bourbon Jam. Top with the second sourdough slice (butter-side up).
- 4Grill over medium-low heat for 3-4 minutes per side, until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted and gooey.
- 5Slice diagonally and serve immediately.
